Composing the Empty Suit

I spent some time this evening working in Rhino 3D to come up with a plan for how to present the clear-cast man in a suit.  This idea began by trying to portray the idea of an "empty suit".  This could apply to a politician or a religious leader.  I enjoy the ambiguity of not know which of these this man is most representing.  He was made by 3d printing with clear, light-sensitive resin.  I plan to coat the interior of the print with a highly reflective liquid, such as silver nitrate.

I've spent the last month contemplating how to compose this figure in a way that is both visually engaging, while also adding more context to the idea I'm after.  I landed on this composition, which integrates him into the center of a classical-style architectural column.  The column represents an ancient symbol of authority.  It is somewhat fallic in form, while also creating a sense of entrapment.
